Answer: With the development of society and the fast pace of our life, all kinds of competitions are getting more and more intense. Regardless of the students, blue collars, white collars, the staff of government divisions, private entrepreneurs or successful people and so on, we are all faced with the various stress from the work, study, family, life etc. and the complicated social interaction. Most people are afflicted by those stuff and live very painfully, but they cannot be free of them. Instead, they are just bitterly struggling . It is too difficult to bear these stress, thus, some people get the depression, schizophrenia or autism, even some commit suicide. In order to decrease the pain caused by the depression in man’s heart, some people at home and abroad set up “Xuanxieshi” meaning a room where people can give vent to their feelings, “Xiefenfang” meaning a room where people can show their anger, to help people release their emotion and relieve their stress. However, all these methods only can relieve the stress temporarily but be unable to solve the root problem.
If we wanna completely be free of these stress and pain, we need to know the source of them. God’s word says, “People who have been bound by Satan for several thousand years have continued to live under its influence and have not thrown it off. They have continued to bitterly grope and struggle…they were tightly bound to family and secular entanglements as well as social interactions. They were unable to throw them off. In this kind of dog-eat-dog society, where can anyone find a meaningful life? What people recount is a life of suffering, and fortunately…” God reveals the source of our pains. All of the sufferings are caused by Satan. Since we human beings are corrupted by Satan, we are straying from God further and further. We all live by Satan’s philosophies, such as “Everyone for himself and the devil takes the hindmost”, “Men should always strive to be better than their contemporaries”, “We will not attack unless we are attacked; if we are attacked, we will certainly counterattack” and so on. In order to pursue fame and gain, position and money, we become concerned solely with our own profits and outwit with each other. There is no true care and consideration among people, even no true love between husbands and wives. People all over the world deceive and oppress each other, all living in the darkness and fear. So, we feel more and more depressed and pained in our heart.
God says, “A world in man’s heart with no place for God is dark, empty without hope…Man, after all, is man. The position and life of God cannot be replaced by any man. Mankind does not just require a fair society in which everyone is well-fed and is equal and free, but the salvation of God and His provision of life to them. Only when man receives the salvation of God and His provision of life to them can the needs, yearning to explore, and spiritual emptiness of man be resolved.” God’s word tells us the only way to solve the stress and pain in our heart. That is to come before God, accept the purification and salvation of God’s words, no longer live by Satan’s rules for survival but obey God’s sovereignty and arrangement, and act according to God’s requirements so as to become a person obeying and worshipping God. We are created by God, God is the source of man’s life, the reality of everything positive is from God, and all the happiness, joy and peace are bestowed by God. So, only if we accept God’s salvation, attain the truth expressed by God as our life and live by God’s words, can we thoroughly break free from Satan’s affliction and live in the light of God!
