Answer: Previously I also felt inferior to others in many aspects. Every time I saw other people’s work, family conditions, calibers and abilities were all better than mine, and no matter how hard I worked, I couldn’t be above them, then the sense of inferiority arises spontaneously in my heart and I always felt very depressed for it. Until I believed in God, I went out of this situation step by step with the guidance of God’s words.
Later, I read some God’s words saying, “In the thoughts of God, He intended to give each and every appearance, and all sorts of functions and uses, to the various living things He created, and so none of the things God made were cut from the same mold. From their exterior to their internal composition, from their living habits to the location that they occupy—each is different. …In short, when it comes to all things, man should defer to the authority of the Creator, which is to say, defer to the order appointed by the Creator to all things; this is the wisest attitude. Only an attitude of searching for, and obedience to, the original intentions of the Creator is the true acceptance and certainty of the authority of the Creator. It is good with God, so what reason does man have to find fault?” Pondering God’s words, I understood the existence of all things are all orchestrated and controlled by God and everything has its own value and meaning. Whether our calibers and appearances are good or not, we are all special in God’s eyes because God sees everything is good. We have different appearances, calibers, birth circumstances and work, but we all play our own roles under God’s sovereignty and orchestration and perform our own functions to finish the mission given by God. No one can change such a law. Actually, my sense of inferiority was all because I didn’t know the sovereignty and arrangement of God and couldn’t have an obedience to the Creator. Just as I didn’t know the almightiness and wisdom of God creating and managing all things, I always felt unsatisfied with the appearance and caliber God gave me, thinking I was inferior to others and living in the pain. From God’s words, I knew only by obeying the arrangement of the Creator and having a right attitude to my merits and shortcomings, could I go out of the situation of inferiority complex. Later on when I calmed down to ponder the word, “God saw that it was good,” I gradually realized it’s God who arranges everything for us. No matter whether it is in line with our thoughts, we should find our suitable positions as a creation and can’t make a judgment at random, because “God saw that it was good.” Then there was no need for me to live in pain and despair to torture myself. After changing the attitude toward seeing myself, I got many unexpected achievements: I can’t speak so well like other people and don’t have so many friends, but I speak honestly, which makes my friends feel my true heart, so they all treat me sincerely. I don’t have an admirable caliber, but the way I do things is down to earth with my conscience, so I feel very peaceful at the bottom of my heart. I look very ordinary, but God gave me a husband who treats me with his true heart, then I could also keep myself from the attack of the evil trends… As I gave up my own desires and imaginations, treated everything in my life according to God’s words and learned to accept and obey the sovereignty of God, didn’t resist and complain against God anymore but to feel God’s love with my heart, I found everything God arranges for me is so perfect. Gradually, I was freed from the sense of inferiority and enjoyed the peace, joy and liberation from the bottom of my heart. Thanks be to God!
